Failed Experiment #37
Trying to push a side-by-side double stroller with one hand while carrying a hot coffee in the other.

Totally impossible. The problem is when you save the coffee and the kids roll out into the road.
It is possible (but difficult) with a front/back double stroller.

Yep, that's exactly what happened -- we crossed a parking lot driveway, and the stroller took a hard right toward the road. I ended up spilling coffee all over my hand *and* having to leap in front of the stroller to avoid it (and my son) being flattened by an oncoming dump truck. The rest of the walk was just as squirrelly, but at least I was somewhat prepared for the sudden veerage. The first time caught me totally by surprise.
I never tried getting coffee with the front/back loaner stroller we used back in June, but I imagine there'd be less veerage. However, there'd also probably be less steerage. ;)
